Rules for workshop participants Ya Salam! 2025•Each participant is required to read these regulations. By sending the form, you confirm that you have understood and accepted the regulations.
• To reserve your spot at workshops you need to fill out the form on the website yasalamwarsaw.com and make first payment after receiving a confirmation email within 5 working days. The second installment should be paid in 30 days (or before the Festival begins). If payment is missing your order will be canceled.
• The workshop fee is non-refundable in case of cancellation by the participant. In case of cancellation by the organizer, you will receive a full refund..
• Only those who have paid for the workshop may enter the ballroom. You cannot give your spot to another person.
• If you have any discount from another festival, contact us via email yasalamwarsaw@gmail.com after registration.
•The organizer shall not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings left in the designated locker room.
•The organizer of the dance festival shall not be held liable for any injury or harm sustained by any participant while participating in the festival. Participants are advised to take necessary precautions and warm-up exercises before their performance. By participating in the festival, each participant acknowledges the inherent risks involved in dance performances and assumes full responsibility for any injury or harm that may occur.
• By participating in the festival, participants agree that the organizer has the right to use their images, videos, and performances captured during the festival for promotional purposes, including but not limited to advertisements, media coverage, and social media posts. Participants release all rights to these materials and grant the organizer the perpetual right to use them for these purposes.
Rules for Open Show participants Ya Salam! 2025
Attention!
To perform at the Open Show you must attend at least 2 workshops (1 workshop for kids)• To reserve your spot at Open Show you need to fill out the form on the website yasalamwarsaw.com and make payment after receiving a confirmation email within 5 working days. If payment is missing your order will be canceled.
• A full, non-refundable 100% fee is required to secure your reservation. However, if the event is canceled by the organizer for any reason, a full refund of all fees paid will be issued. By making a payment, you agree to these payment and cancellation terms and conditions.
• Open Show applications will be accepted until March 30, 2025. After reaching the limit of applications, the Organizer reserves the right not to accept any further applications. Applications will be registered in the order in which the fees are credited to the Organiser's account.
• Open Show is the show for oriental dancers and to perform oriental dance style. Dancers may also use fusion style but not more than 40% of the performance.
• Participants of the Open Show will have to send correctly described music or the name of the song for live band improvisation by 02.04 to the following address: yasalamwarsaw@gmail.com Music should be described according to the scheme

Failure to send the music on time will result in removal from the show. Music should be in mp3 file format and should be within the time limit of 3:30
• Safety Rules: In the interests of creating a safe and comfortable environment for all participants, it is strictly forbidden to use gases, open flames, flammable substances, and cutting objects, as well as props that require cleaning, such as sand, glitter, feathers, rose petals, and liquids.
• Responsibility for Property: The organizer is not responsible for any loss or damage to the property of participants. Participants are advised to take appropriate measures to protect their belongings.
• Image Use: Participants agree to the use of their image for promotional purposes related to the competition. The organizer may use photos, videos, and other forms of media featuring the participants in promotional materials.

Rules for competition participants Ya Salam! 2024
1.Each participant in the competition is obliged to read the regulations. Confirmation of payment for the competition is equal to acceptance of these regulations.
2. A full, non-refundable 100% fee is required to secure your reservation. However, if the event is canceled by the organizer for any reason, a full refund of all fees paid will be issued. By making a payment, you agree to these payment and cancellation terms and conditions.
3. The organizer reserves the right to cancel some categories in the event of a small number of entries or to combine categories with others. In case of cancellation of the category, a full refund of the category cost will be provided. In the case of combining categories, the participant can decide whether he or she remains in the competition or wants to receive a refund.
4. Age categories are strictly defined in the above regulations and cannot be freely changed. The exception is participants over 40 years of age who can participate in both the Diva and Adults categories.
5. To participate in the competition, you must attend at least 2 workshops (1 workshop for kids)
and complete the application form available at yasalamwarsaw.com and pay for your participation within 5 working days. In the absence of payment within this period, your application will be canceled.
6. Competition applications will be accepted until March 30, 2025. After reaching the limit of applications (12 participants in each category), the Organizer reserves the right not to accept any further applications. Applications will be registered in the order in which the competition fees are credited to the Organiser's account.
7.Each participant should be present well in advance, before the start of his/hers competition category, in order to confirm attendance and register. The exact schedule of the competition will be announced 2 days before the event.
8.Participants of the competition will have to send correctly described competition music or the music choice for Live Band categories by 02.04 to the following address: yasalamwarsaw@gmail.com Music should be described according to the scheme

The organizer reserves the right to reject an entry with music exceeding the time limit appropriate for a given category.
9.Description of Categories:
By age:
◆Kids (up to 11 y.o.)
◆Juniors (12-17 y.o.)
◆Adults (more than 18 y.o.)
◆Diva (more than 40 y.o.) - participants of this age category can decide whether they want to dance in the Adults category or in the Diva category.
By level:
◆ The Debut category is a competition category for dancers who are making their first or second solo performance on stage. This category is designed for novice dancers who are new to the competitive scene and looking to gain experience and exposure.
◆Beginner oriental dancers, who are amateurs, can be described as individuals who are new to the world of oriental dance and are participating in it for personal enjoyment rather than as a source of income. These individuals are not professional dancers and do not earn money from performing or teaching oriental dance. Instead, they are just starting their journey in the world of oriental dance and are taking part in competitions to showcase their skills and gain experience.
◆Semi-prodancers are individuals, who have gained some experience in oriental dance, but do not make a living from teaching or performing it professionally. They also did not win first place in the semi-pro category at the previous edition of our Festival.
◆Professional dancers in the field of oriental dance are individuals who either teach oriental dance, or perform professionally and and often commercially. They have developed a high level of expertise through years of practice, training, and performance experience. In terms of competition, professional dancers who previously took first place in the semi-pro category on a previous edition of our festival.
By styles:
◆oriental -tarab, megance, classical song
◆drum solo - oriental drum solo, other styles: no more than 30%! costume suitable for oriental dance. open category for dancers that are over 12 years of age.
◆fusion/show -fusion with other styles, note! belly dancing should be at least 60% of the choreography! open category for dancers that are over 12 years of age.
◆folklore - saidi, baladi, old shaaby, Bambuti, nubian, ghawazee, awalim, haggala, fellahi, Tanoura, Muashahat, Dabke, Iraqi, Khalegee etc.
◆Cairo Hits - modern pop song, modern shaaby and mahraganat. open category for dancers that are over 12 years of age.
◆pop song -pop arabic song, stage arabic song. This is an open category for dancer that are over 12 years of age
◆golden era -reconstruction of the dance of the most famous dancers from the Golden Era or a dance stylized for those times. This category is open for dancers over who are over 12 years of age.

11.The competition rules you have provided outline the criteria for evaluating the performances of oriental dance competitors. The dancers will be assessed on a scale of 1 to 10 points, with 10 being the highest score. The following criteria will be considered in determining the scores:
◆Image: This criterion evaluates the costume, makeup, and hairstyle of the dancer and how well they match the style of the performance.
◆Charisma: This criterion assesses the dancer's ability to engage with the audience and convey feeling through their performance.
◆Feeling: Understanding the music, lyrics and style
◆Technique: This criterion evaluates the quality of the dancer's movements and technical execution.
◆Choreography/Musicality: This criterion evaluates how well the dancer's performance is synchronized with the music and how well the dance style matches the music, as well as the dancer's use of space.
◆Synchronization (for duo/trio/group): This criterion is specific to group performances and evaluates the level of coordination and synchrony among the dancers in the group.
By considering these criteria, the judges will be able to assess the overall quality of the dancer's performance and award a score that accurately reflects their ability and mastery of the art form. These criteria provide a comprehensive evaluation system that helps to ensure fair and objective scoring in the competition.
11.Dressing room:The organizer provides a dressing room for changing costumes, but does not provide makeup and hairstyle preparation stations.

Personal data protection
According to Art. 13 sec. 1 and 2 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, referred to as the GDPR, we inform that: 1. The administrator of personal data is FTL Events referred to as the Organizer.
Participants' personal data will be processed for the purpose of organizing and conducting the competition.
Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary to participate in the competition.
The organizer will collect the following data from the participants: a) name and surname, b) e-mail address, c) telephone number
The participant of the competition agrees that his/her name and surname to be used to inform about the results of the competition.
